ReplyDeleteEver since it was placed on my phone as a bonus from default, I really liked Quickoffice pro. It's fast and it does what you need it to do. Because of that, I decided to purchase Quickoffice Pro for the features and to edit docs. The integration with dropbox is really great. The one problem I have-it's not yet compatible with Office 2010. This company does a pretty terrible job of not disclosing that pretty important fact. It tells you that it supports .xlsx files, but what it doesn't mention is that office 2010 files are not supported. The way I found this out was with an email to their customer support asking why I could not open an excel file-they replied that Office 2010 compatibility is being worked on and should be available soon. With two computers at home both running Office 2010, unfortunately it makes this app barely useable. At the very least, disclose what versions your product doesn't work with in a clear way. Office 2010 has been out since last June; it's poor to me that since that release almost a year ago this app is not supported.

ReplyDeleteI'm writing this review since this version of Quickoffice Pro is incorrectly labeled as "Compatible" with the Motorola Xoom tablet. I am not sure if this is an oversight on Amazon's part or on Ouickoffice's. The Quickword program fails to open or create documents, which is the primary reason I purchased this. Quickoffice states on their website that a newer version called Ouickoffice Pro HD works specifically for Android tablets. This is a warning to all potential buyers.

ReplyDeleteThis app awesome easy to use and has beautiful interface. I was skeptical by some of the review but this app is a must for documents creating, PowerPoint editing etc. I think some people were expecting to much for a mobile app but if you want an app that is truly Microsoft suite compatiple get it. I use a rooted Nook Color as a tablet and I know will be using this a lot in college with the BT keyboard I ordered and the printershare app on market. Try it out on market but refund before 15 mins to test you'll soon be back here buying it for $3.

ReplyDeleteApparently the phrase "Quickoffice Pro supports advanced formulas and charts" should be "it supports charts and advanced formulas." I use some advanced charts in Excel 2003, and it completely screws with them, changing chart types. I also have these charts in a PowerPoint file, and QuickOffice and makes them completely unreadable due to misinterpreting the dimensions of the object (which you can't fix). Outside of my uses of charts, the interface is decent, but there's a bit of a learning curve. There is a lot of potential, but it falls well short of the mark for my needs.
